Good Lands currently has an opening for an Intermediate Project Coordinator based out of our Pierson, Manitoba office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Remediation Program Managers, supporting field projects and technicians, and completing office work. The overall time allocation for this position will be approximately 50% office 50% field, however this will be seasonally dependent (additional field time in summer months and additional office time in the winter). There will be an opportunity to work remotely for a portion of the office allocated time.
Key Responsibilities
· Planning and coordinating of field projects
· Budgeting and project management
· Daily time and cost updates
· Preparation of various technical reports, including final review and sign-off
· Supervision of heavy equipment
· Completion of critical ground disturbance tasks
· Completion of Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
· Other field supervision and project execution, as required
Minimum Requirements
· University degree or diploma required
- The successful candidate must be a member or be eligible to become a member of a professional/technical organization (ie. Agrologists Manitoba, the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba or Saskatchewan, etc.)
· 3-5 years of applicable work experience
· Good working knowledge of computers and computer-based programs (excel, word, etc.)
· Strong people and program management skills, and a desire to mentor and train junior staff
· Solid working knowledge of Canadian oil and gas environmental regulations and practices
· Knowledge of data collection tools and technologies (aerial drones, EM surveys, etc.)
· Ability to manage concurrent projects and pivot on short notice
· Enjoy working outdoors and in a team environment
· Willingness to learn
· Strong organizational skills
· Reliable and self-motivated, willing and able to independently execute projects
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Good Lands currently has an opening for a Summer Student based out of our office in Pierson, Manitoba. This is a term position for approximately 16 weeks from May through August, 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with our Program Managers, focusing on the completion of field projects. This is a field-based position; however some office-based work will be required. There may be an opportunity to work remotely (from home) for a portion of the office allocated time.
What will you do?
As a summer student, you will join other field technicians in completion of field projects including groundwater monitoring, detailed site assessments, Phase II environmental site assessments, seeding and fertilizing, and other tasks as required. We will also engage your help with basic office, shop and yard maintenance. Before you begin field work, you will be required to take several safety-related courses which will be paid for by Good Lands. During your time with us, you will be responsible to ensure that you complete daily timesheet entries; a laptop will be provided for your use.
Minimum Requirements
· Actively enrolled in post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in a related field
· Good working knowledge of computers and computer-based programs (excel, word, etc.)
· Enjoy working outdoors and in a team environment
· Willingness to learn
· Strong organizational skills
· Reliable and self-motivated, willing and able to independently execute projects
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
